Questions and answers
What does Warm Welcome do?
You give it a link to a product you sell, your own or one you promote as an affiliate. It reads the page, then asks you questions about yourself and the product. From your answers, it writes your email funnel: a lead magnet, the words for your sign-up page and a welcome series of emails, in your own voice.
What exactly do I get?
- Lead magnet: the content for a short freebie, such as a checklist, a one-page guide or a mini-planner, that helps with the first step of the problem your product solves.
- Opt-in page copy: a headline, subheadline, 3 to 5 bullet points, button text and a privacy line.
- The welcome series: 5 emails, one for each of days 1 to 5.
- Subject lines and preview text for every email, with alternative subject lines.
- Your story library: the stories from your interview, saved so you can use them again in later projects.
What's the follow-up sequence?
25 more emails, for days 6 to 30, for the same product. It is sold separately, for $67. It needs more of your stories, so the interview carries on with a few more questions.
Where do the stories come from?
From you. The interview asks about moments from your own life and work, and the emails are built from your answers. You can also paste in emails you've written before, and the tool will pull out the true stories in them.
Some emails also use a short story about someone else, from a checked collection. Those are always told as someone else's story, never as yours.
Will it make things up?
No. It never invents a story, a detail, a customer, a result, a quote or a guarantee. Before an email is accepted, an automatic check traces every personal detail back to something you said in your interview. If a detail isn't there, it asks you or leaves it out.
What if I can't think of any stories?
That's normal. The interview is built for it: if you're stuck, it asks smaller, easier questions until something comes up. Short answers are fine.
Do I have to talk about personal or difficult things?
No. The tool never raises subjects like loss, illness, divorce, addiction or trouble with the law. If you bring one up yourself, it asks whether you'd like to use it in your emails, and only uses it if you clearly say yes.
Can I change the emails?
Yes. Every email is editable on the review screen. When you edit one, you can apply the same kinds of changes to the emails you haven't reviewed yet.
What does "needs review" mean on an email?
Every email is checked against a list of writing rules. If an email still fails a check after being rewritten, it's marked so you can fix it or leave it out. The note tells you what the checks found. It's never hidden.
Does it send the emails for me?
No. You download your emails and put them into your own email platform, such as Systeme.io, Kit, MailerLite or ActiveCampaign. We have step-by-step guides for those four. You get:
- copy buttons for each email's subject, preview text and body,
- a Word document of the whole funnel,
- a ZIP of every email as plain text and HTML, and
- a CSV file, for platforms that import.
It doesn't connect to your email platform directly.
Will it work with my email platform?
If your platform lets you paste in an email and send a series of emails automatically, yes. The guides cover the four platforms above in detail.
Which email platform do you recommend?
Systeme.io. It has a free plan, and your sign-up page, list and automatic emails are all in one place. If you already use Kit, MailerLite or ActiveCampaign and you're happy with it, stay with it: there's a guide for each.
Does it build or host my sign-up page?
No. It writes the words for your sign-up page. You build the page in your email platform or website, using those words.
I'm promoting someone else's product. Is that OK?
Yes. Tell the tool it's an affiliate product, and it adds a short disclosure line right after your link in every email that contains it, so your readers know you are paid if they buy. "How to use your sequence" explains why it's there and how you can reword it.
Will this make me money?
We can't promise that, and we don't. What you get is a set of emails. What happens after that depends on you: your product, your audience, how you use the emails and many other things. See our earnings disclaimer.
Does it write in other languages?
Not yet. It writes in English.
Is there a limit on how much I can use it?
Yes. Every email it writes costs us money to produce, so there are limits on things like how many times you can regenerate a single email. The current limits are: [TO DECIDE: usage caps, for example regenerations per email and per project, and the monthly ceiling on any "unlimited" plan]. They are also set out in the terms.
Can I build funnels for my clients?
[TO DECIDE: depends on the final offer. Spec proposes this right comes with the "unlimited projects" upgrade.]
What happens to my interview answers?
They're yours. They are used only to write your funnels and are never used in anyone else's output. You can delete your data at any time from your account page. See the privacy policy.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you're not happy, ask within 30 days of buying for a full refund. The funnel that purchase paid for is then removed from your account, and you can no longer use its emails. See the refund policy.
